Lazada is Philippines‘ and Southeast Asia’s most popular e-commerce site, catering not just to consumers but also to business-minded Filipinos looking to make money online. It is also suitable for beginners who want to make money online. Lazada does not ask for a registration fee from new online members. You can start selling and earning for as little as PHP 10,000. All you need is a computer or smartphone with internet access, as well as your products to sell and a bank account to collect payments.

It doesn’t matter if you’re in Manila, in any province, or even out of the country. You can manage your shop from anywhere in the Philippines while reaching out to clients all over the country.

For corporate local sellers and LazMall sellers, Lazada asks for some documents including DTI business permit, DTI/SEC business registration certificate, and BIR Certificate of Registration to prove that they are registered with the BIR, DTI, or SEC.

If you are about to start selling on Lazada from the Philippines, then here are some steps to follow:

  • Before you start selling on Lazada, you must first register an account. You can already register an account at Lazada Seller Center once you have the required documentation for seller registration.
  • On the Seller Center website or in a mobile app, you must complete a Lazada online seller registration form. There are different forms for different types of online sellers including Lazada Fresh Seller registration form, LazMall Seller registration form, Marketplace Seller registration form, and LazGlobal Seller registration.
  • Make sure to include your email address and contact number, as well as the name of your online store.
  • New online sellers must have at least three products available to sell on Lazada. But take note that there are some items that you cannot sell such as gambling products, dangerous software, and guns.
  • If your products are available and you are ready to sell them then you can use the Seller Center App or PC to begin uploading product photos.
  • Log in to your account at the Lazada Seller Center. Enter the product name, product features, category, product highlights, and variation under the option “Add Products.”
  • Decide on a quantity and pricing. Don’t forget to include the package’s weight and dimensions. You can upload products in a batch or one at a time.
  • On Seller Center, Lazada allows its sellers to manage their virtual stores. The seller tools allow you to monitor the performance of your online store and make required adjustments. To access the dashboard for managing your Lazada online store, simply press Business Advisor.
  • When you receive your customer order, then it’s time to have it sent to your customer.  Pack the item and wait for it to be picked up and delivered by Lazada.

Payments for your purchased products will be credited to your Lazada-registered bank account every week. On the Seller Center app or website, you can view your account statement.

The many seller fees are one factor that may stop you from selling on large online marketplaces such as Lazada. Below are some of their fee rates:

Commission (apply only to LazMall Sellers): A percentage fee based on the price of the item charged per order item for each category.

Payment fee: Item price – promotional charges + customer-paid shipping fee, plus 2.24 percent VAT

Payment Fee (Correction for Undercharge): Fees for lost claims that have been paid.
